Biography

Salwa G, 31, is a Moroccan fashion designer based in France, founder of the brand Maison beige. She's been fascinated by fashion from a very young age. It all started when she started sewing dresses for her dolls by using the fabric of pillowcases. She followed a classic and scientific academic path. Since she's coming from a middle-class Moroccan family, the priority was her financial stability, she was not asked what she liked to study but rather studied what she had to. She ended up in a business school that led to a career in market finance. Being unfulfilled with her post-academic path career, she then made the decision to start studying for herself, and that's how she ended up on the school benches at 27, taking evening classes in fashion design. After a fashion studying journey that took more than three years, she launched Maison Beige in March 2021, in parallel with her work in finance to then devoting herself to her brand 100% in September 2022.
